Why Team 1566 Loves FIRST

David Tracy - 2008 - 2010

   My first expireience with FIRST was in middle school, my friends and I had started an R.C. car club. We ran time trials and all sorts of things. The Principal, our advisor heard that the high school had a robotics team, so one day we all came and saw the robots. That got me started. I have been on team 1566 every year for the past 3 years and each year i lean new things and have so much fun its unreal.

Jamie Norman - 2007 - 2010

   FIRST is fun and makes me thing. It gets me thinking of what I'm interested in and helps me to learn more about what I need to do to get where I need to be. I hope that I'll be able to do this for the rest of High School, then go on and help other schools start.

Tray Sorenson - 2007 - 2010

   FIRST has given me the opportunity to lean lots of things, mainly in the field of electrical engineering. It has given me the chance to build, design, and wire robots. It also has gotten me into building web pages through HTML, and I am very good at it. It has given me many chances to get scholarships, to help me become an electrical engineer. I am very thankful for the FIRST program.

   FIRST has been an amazing experiece for me. When i first starte i was really anxious because I did not know a lot about robotics overall. I soon realized that I was wrong. Everyone on the team was eager to teach me about robotics and the team an I quickly grew comfortable with the team.
